Joyce Hofman veterinary clinics has been an independent centre for veterinary medicine in Amsterdam for forty years. We have 3 locations; In Watergraafsmeer, the Indische Buurt and Diemen.
With our team of 13 vets, we are there for you and your pet every day. You can come to us for almost all treatments. For example, we have our own admission facilities and do extensive surgery and dentistry. We are open at weekends and you can also visit us in the evening from April 2024.
We are a large practice but we make every effort to give each animal the personal attention it deserves. We are happy to work with you to create a plan that suits the needs of you and your pet.

I am Joyce. Together with my husband, our daughter, son, and our Sardinian shelter dog Oscar, I live right in the heart of Amsterdam. For me, being a vet is the most beautiful profession there is. The combination of my knowledge, practical skills and interaction with both animals and humans makes this work very special to me.
For many, a home without a pet is incomplete. This is evident, as more than half of the Dutch share their home with one or more animals, experiencing both the fun and the difficult moments together with them. It is a privilege for me to witness these unique bonds on a daily basis.
Since 2017, I have been the owner of this wonderful practice. Over time, I have been able to build a fantastic team consisting of people who love animals and their owners as much as I do.
By dedicating ourselves daily to caring for animals, we try to make a contribution to the welfare of Amsterdam in our own way.
We have extensive diagnostic capabilities and perform most examinations and operations ourselves. As a result, we rarely need to refer you to a specialist.
